Salted fish in Olive Oil

Ingredients for 6:

30 salted fish (sardines or anchovies)
2 dcl olive oil
100 g onion

Clean the salted fish, lay them on a plate and cover with olive oil. Place the sliced onion by the fish and serve.

Risotto of Cuttlefish Ink

Ingredients for 6:

1 dcl olive oil
half a kilo of rice
cuttlefish ink
one onion
parsley, salt and pepper
1 dcl sherry
grated sheep’s cheese

Sauté  the finely chopped onion in olive oil. When it turns golden, add the rice, cuttlefish ink and fish stock, sherry, salt and pepper. Cook until the rice becomes soft enough, and at the end add parsley and grated sheep’s cheese.

Kroštula, Baška style

Ingredients:

half a kilo of flour
2 eggs
baking powder, one sachet
castor sugar
oil, salt

Make a dough of all the ingredients (except the oil), roll out fairly thin and cut into various shapes, and fry until  golden. Drain well. Sprinkle with sugar  while still warm and serve.

Let’s start cycling or walking through one of the 19 equipped tourist paths with an overall length of 90 km that will take you to unforgettable views, let’s search for the signposts together and for this valley where there is a promising invitation for good entertainment; meet the Baška Glagolitic path…

Well-equipped and marked paths, past shepherds’ trails will takes us on an adventure, to the hills above Baška where we will find the sheep folds for seasonal sheep gathering and selecting among the rocky white stones of surrounding hills, made of dry stone walls that was popular architecture in days gone by.  As well as on the south-east of the island of Krk and the neighbouring island Prvić, this kind of stone construction only exists in another two islands in the world, in Great Britain-Wales and on Iceland. By walking along the mountain trails, on hills, on the eastern part of Baška we find the remains of the antique Korintija fortress on our way, an unspeaking monument of days gone by…

Feeling nicely tired after a day spent within nature, in hills, in the fresh, sea air, make your day by relaxing in one of  four saunas of the Spa zone within the Wellness Centre Baška or abandon yourselves to the hands of our excellent therapists. departure in front of the Atrium hotel to the guided walking tour with sightseeing of the small Romanesque St. Mark’s church,  along the Bunculuka camping site to the Vela luka Bay with a visit of sheep folds, Korintija archaeological finds site, a picnic in Vela luka and return by means of the Explorer glass-bottomed boat to Baška; after returning use of the health and beauty Total Baška touch programme which lasts 150 minutes and includes the use of pool, Jacuzzi, saunas, aroma therapy and refreshment.

Refreshment will be taken on board, followed by a trip to shore on the island of Prvić and a short walk around the island. INFORMATION AND BOOKING

From our offer it is necessary to find accommodation unit that you want to book.

Search for accommodation units can be made in several ways.

1.From the main menu at the top of the page you can click on “Accommodation” where you will see the complete offer of our accommodation facilities.

2.You can search Accommodation units through the search engine on the home page. Select data search by clicking on “Search”, our system will show you all the facilities / accommodation units that are currently available and match your search criteria.

When you find an accommodation unit that suits you, first click on the date of arrival and departure displayed on the availability calendar (We recommend the period from Saturday – Saturday). Second, click on “Add to cart” and then you see the accommodation facilities which you selected, afterwards click  “Send Request”.

Later, if you are on Splendido.hr web site for the first time please select “new user” and enter username and password which you will use, next time, to login during your next visits. Please enter your contact details as well. If you are already registered on our web simply enter username and password you chose on your first login.

Later on, you are required to enter your first and last name, as well as date of birth of all travelers. Dates of birth have to be entered in order to calculate the tourist tax.

On the next page, you can choose services at additional charge. Obligatory additional charges are automatically ticked off and cannot be excluded.

After booking, you can verify that all the information is correct. If you wish to change any information from the reservation, click on the back link to return to the site with wrong data. We also recommend you read “General booking conditions” and if you agree with them, complete your request by clicking on the “Next step”

At this point, the system generates a request and sends it to check availability.

As soon as we receive your request we will try as soon as possible to respond to it, it is common practice to react within 24 h. After the Agency checks availability of accommodation you will automatically get a confirmation by e-mail, in which it will be stated the deduction or the availability of accommodation.

Once you have received an e-mail in which the agency confirmes availability of the accommodation, you will be referred to pay an advance for accommodation and you will be informed about the deadline for payment of the advance for reservation to become valid. If you don’t make advance payment for accommodation within given period, the reservation will be automatically canceled.

It’s up to you to choose to pay advance within a given period, by credit card, through our system or by bank transfer.

Please note that the no° of credit cards and other information related to the advance payment will be protected by SSL certificate, which guarantees the highest confidentiality.

After you make the advance payment, within 24 hours you will receive a Voucher with all the detailed information you need to know when arriving at your destination / accommodation unit.

If it is possible, please bring your Voucher with you to the Agency, Your Voucher is a proof that you paid successfully your accommodation reservations.

From 15 April to mid-October twice a week to Rijeka airport on the island landing the aircraft company Ryanair from London and Stockholm. Tickets will be available on Ryanair’s website from 4 February, and the company estimates that it will spread to the area of Rijeka 14 000 arriving passengers per year, writes hrt.hr.

Kvarner Tourist Board Director Gordana Medved asserted that the arrival of Ryanair, the most popular low-cost carriers, to significantly improve air traffic in this area. Signed the agreement on the pooling of resources to finance the promotion of the Kvarner Bay in the next five years on the website www.ryanair.com between the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, City of Rijeka, Rijeka and Kvarner tourist boards.

The annual value of advertising is 250,000 euros, half of which will settle the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), and the rest of the city, county, and two tourist boards.

Apart from with Ryanair, has established cooperation with several other companies. Thus, Croatia Airlines will fly back to London from Krk, Skandjet will open the lines for the Stockholm and Gothenburg, Smartlynx Airlines to Riga, UralAirlines to Moscow, and SC Compania Nationala de Transporturi Aeriene to Bucharest.
